Predominantly Black is a Los Angeles based candle house where intention, craft, and curiosity collide. Founded in 2019 by owner, creator, and mother-maker Mya Sinquefield, the brand is built on a deep love of learning and hands-on experimentation. Each candle is hand-poured using a clean burning soy and coconut wax blend with a cotton wick, always paraffin-free and made locally in small batches. Self-taught and endlessly inquisitive, Mya continues to expand her practice through ongoing study in perfumery, herbal formulations, and skincare at the Herbal Academy. The result is a collection of candles that feel thoughtful, grounded, and soulful; designed to scent your space with purpose.
