Laura's lightbulb moment occurred when an old watch strap of hers broke, and she struggled to find a watch she liked that was simple and stylish, but with a faux leather strap. This realization sparked the birth of Votch, a brand with a straightforward mission – to consistently do their best. Their goal is to make cruelty-free accessories more accessible and to show that you don't need to be cruel to be cool. The brand strives to minimize its environmental footprint while creating products that do no harm to animals; therefore, Votch exclusively utilizes cruelty-free materials. This includes a range of fabrics made from different materials such as Piñatex, a by-product from the pineapple industry, AppleSkin, a by-product from the apple juice industry, vegan leather and stainless steel. Their commitment to ethical practices extends to their partnership with a factory in Shenzhen, China, which guarantees fair wages, promotional opportunities, and excellent working conditions.
