They are proud to be women owned, minority owned, ethically made, and locally manufactured in New York. They globally source their fabrics to get the softest and best quality materials. Most of their solid outer and lining fabrics are made from recycled Nylon yarns which feature added chlorine, pilling, and sunscreen resistance, so they have a longer life span. Laura Paulino Rosenbaum, the founder of Novel Swim, is known for her cheeky illustration style. Before launching the brand, she consulted and illustrated for brands, retailers, and magazines in the fashion and design world. “The Caribbean is in my blood—literally, my mother was born in the Dominican Republic—so I’ve always had a deep love for the ocean. As a native New Yorker, I’ve been surrounded by great art, fantastic design, and the very best of the fashion world my whole life. I combined these loves when I created Novel,” explains Laura. Novel Swim believes the beach is for the people, and everyone should feel comfortable, confident, and chic in and out of the water.
